Partner Testimonials
Question: Does Knauf get value in sponsoring HPIP?
“In short, yes. While it is hard to extrapolate an annual monetary value from sponsoring HPIP, their mission “…to better the insulation industry” is a big-picture industry attitude that Knauf has supported for over a decade. There is not another group who is doing what they are doing, that is, targeting insulation contractors specifically, for training and professional development. This group, like no other, is working to unify the industry by elevating standards of performance in the field, improving the position of insulation contractors in the building industry, and establishing a national objective third-party approval by which contractors can be measured as professionals.
In recent years, workplace studies and reports have shown that across every industry, construction trades included, employee training and development is a top priority for workers, but is often overlooked by their organizations. HPIP is investing in contractors and installers by helping them learn the “why” behind what they do, furthering their knowledge in building science and its applications, as well as advocating for them, as the only trade that has a positive return on a home. They’ve made some big changes in addition to their regional workshops to help accomplish their training goals; a new webinar series, an online Learning Management System that gives contractors easy access to training courses, and a partnership with Job Corps and the Department of Labor to train the next generation of energy professionals; feeding thousands of job-seekers into the workforce pool with entry-level insulation industry training. This group is producing real tools that real contractors can put to use to solve their biggest problems.
One of Knauf’s core values is Menschlichkeit which essentially translates to “the greater good.” Supporting HPIP, and their contractor base, is one of the ways we are continually trying to help move our industry forward for good.”
