When it comes to charities, many are quick to overlook niche and unique industries or organizations, such as those in building performance or construction. This may be because it does not come as first nature that these groups would be included in the same charitable classification as hospitals or religious organizations.
Hospitals, religious organizations, educational institutions, etc. all fall under the 501(c)3 nonprofit classification of the Internal Revenue Code. High Performance Insulation Professionals also falls under this label, granting us charitable status and deemed for the public good.
HPIP is a purely educational entity, and we are motivated solely through our mission to “better the insulation industry.”
This Giving Tuesday, HPIP encourages you to consider donating to our cause. The #1 problem we are told by insulation contractors across the United States is labor. Finding, hiring, and keeping quality employees.
We are re-focusing our energy to work towards solving this issue. HPIP has been working with the Department of Labor Job Corps since 2017, serving as the only certified credential to train the next generation of job seekers and provide them with the necessary skills to enter the insulation workforce. HPIP has now trained nearly 3,000 Job Corps students in entry-level and intermediate insulation installation skills. Now it’s time to place these skilled workers in compatible careers.
